Bought this as a replacement for a rear tandem style wheel I had on my LWB recumbent after the hub on that one bit the dust. The new Velocity wheel comes with Shimano's latest generation of tandem hub, the HF08. Whole thing is quite reasonable in weight, considering what a work horse it is. Have a little over a thousand miles on this baby towing a cargo trailer through pretty challenging terrain and the spokes are still all perfectly true and taught. Cassette spins quietly on the freehub, makes the whole drivetrain feel super smooth. Only little niggle is that this wheel did not come with either rim tape or plugs; the previous unit had come taped with Velox and the whole thing had only cost $100 with shipping. Still the quality on this would be hard to beat for the price, would have cost me about a hundred more to build it myself from the individual components. Will upddate this review if any issues arise.
