The color is listed as gray but I think it is definitely more on the silver side with sheen to it. Upon arrival it has an odor, probably a packing material to keep the moisture away. I unrolled it in the garage for a few hours, put some carpet fresh on it and vacuumed before bringing it in the house and it was fine. I recommend ordering the smallest size to test it like I did before ordering the larger size. Much cheaper to return a 2X3.Used 4x6 size under two sitting chairs and small table to create a grouping under our bedroom windows. It's nice looking, modern or contemporary, but not so soft on the feet. It's a keeper, tho. I was worried cuz it was stinky when it arrived, but that lasted less than a day."
