Instead, it looks worn, as if it's been washed. The edges were also a bit frayed on one side. I wondered if I'd received a washed, returned item. Because I didn't want to go through the hassle of paying shipping on return, I kept the rug. The rug actually looks pretty nice in my room, I'm just really disappointed with the quality for the price and still wonder if I should have exchanged it.Great price. Great quality.I brought this rug because I could not find the size I really wanted (a 2 x 4). I cut it in half and re-binded the ends. I thought I would lose 6 of rug from unraveling, but this rug is weaved so tight I lost NOTHING! I was amazed. It even held up well after washing.*Nice looking, but a little flimsy for high traffic areas. *Handwash instructions, which is a pain for me. ""Washed out"", in my opinion, after a washing.*The red is a more burgundy color.*I kept the rugs, b/c of washing them.This rug looks great in my kitchen-not too fancy-not too dull."
