It is hand washable, and I have two young boys so that's a plus! Note that it is a bit lighter in color than in the picture. I would recommend a rug pad because it isn't a stiff rug.I use this in living room on wood floors with good non-slip pad. The multiple colors allow so many accent options. Love it!I use the product as a runner in the kitchen-to protect wood floors."
