For several years, they discussed entering the braided rug industry. Since neither of them were experts in the braided rug industry, they enlisted the help of renown experts in the field. One gentleman actually had a PhD in braiding and had worked with NASA on the Mission To Mars program, incorporating braiding technology into the space program.Both Junior and his father quickly learned the technology of materials, pulley tension and weights that greatly affect the quality of product. Their goal was to provide the highest quality of braided rugs and make them affordable to everyone.In 2000, J Quilts Company offered their first braided rugs. Immediately, the rugs were a huge success. Stores were selling the rugs before the product could even be unwrapped! The demand for the braided rugs grew at an unprecedented rate.By 2003, braided rugs accounted for 90% of J Quilts Company��s business. The quilts were only 10% and declining. Due to the high demand for the braided rugs, and his commitment to providing the best product and the best customer service, Junior decided to eliminate the quilt line and focus the company��s efforts on braided rugs.In January 2006, Junior made the decision to change the company��s name from J Quilts Company to Homespice D��cor in order to more accurately reflect the core products of the business. Today, Homespice D��cor has become an industry leader in braided rugs (outdoor, indoor, wool, cotton), and has expanded line to include Penny Rugs and Rag Rugs. Quality involves vivid colours, soft cotton fabric for braid, and intricacy of the design. Looks great on hardwood floors. Durable. I bought one, and ordered two more.A good match with my kitchen colors. On the down side, the rug is thin and does not look like a rug that cost over $200.00. Service, delivery and return from Wayside is exceptionally good but products are overpriced.THE RUG IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! I liked it so much I came back and ordered a runner for the hallway. Pad is great too!I bought this rug for my yellow/blue/white sun porch. It fits in perfectly. I would advise getting some sort of pad for underneath as it can slide around, but otherwise... I have no complaints at all. Feels durable & looks great!The rugs are really pretty. I haven't had them long enough to know how well they will hold up.I love this rug and especially the colors!We have had these rugs in our bedroom for over two years. They still look brand new, even with our two cats doing their best to unbraid them. If the colors work for you and you have cats or dogs in your home, the quality of these rugs will stand up to sharp claws and upset tummies.The rug looks very cosy in our guest bedroom and matches our yellow walls perfectly.I use them in my kitchen/sun room & love them."
