We were convinced that it would be better than a battery back-up because the battery would eventually drain on that system. What we never conceived was that if this system fails (and it did!) high pressure water would be shooting out from the pump and into our basement. After about 30 minutes, there was significant water in the basement. Thank goodness we were home and turned off the water when we did. Even a broken sump pump, or drained battery back-up would not allow water to back up into your basement as fast as this system did. DO NOT install and run the risk of having a high pressure water source fill your basement in only a few short minutes!!!Liberty Pumps-SJ10A"
