It would pump, with a five foot rise, a few minutes then shut off until it cooled down then start pumping again automatically. It did this until all 15,000 gallons were pumped out. About 7 hours. That sounds like a long time but that was 15,000 gallons with a small 1/3 hp pump.The third I bought last week was to replace the one I took out of the sump to pump out the pool with, and to use for other uses in the future so I don't have to keep taking the one out of the sump.Liberty Pumps-237"
