I don't have any issues with the glue or pattern cut that some other buyers mentioned. I am slightly disappointed with the color. It's less tan and brown as described and more of an olivetan although very muted. This rug is fine, I'm happy with it overall. No surprises here, it's something I've ordered before so I knew what I was getting. This rug looks just as it does online and the quality seems to be good. It is wool and it is shedding whenever I vacuum. My daughter had a wool rug that shed for 2 years. I hope this one doesn't shed as long as her rug. Other than the shedding I really do like it.Excellent rug with deep, thick pile. I am very happy with my purchase. Highly recommend this rug. Colors are as shown.I bought this rug at the same time as another Safavieh rug, from the Anatolia collection. This Antiquities rug is of far poorer quality and I am not happy with it. The only thing I like about it is the color, which looks good in my living room. However, this rugshedslike crazy as others have noted - I have filled my vacuum with wool fibers at least six times and the shedding is not slowing down. I am also allergic to the rug. When my one-year-old daughter plays on it she ends up covered in carpet fuzz. My other complaint about the rug is that the glue backing is very stiff and feels like it wont hold up over time. There are hard spots of glue throughout the rug that are uncomfortable to walk on. If you are considering this rug, dont waste yourI looked for a long time for an area rug that would go with my gold walls and dk red acessories and looks great with my dark wood floors. This is much prettier than the picture. Its great quality for the price...The carpet is what I expected for color and I do like it but when we unrolled it there was a couple of deep creases in it and they still have not disappeared. I tried tosteamthem out with little luck. There are also a lot of fine fibers to vacuum up daily.Love the rug quality, thickness and color. My rug, unfortunately is cut crooked on 2 sides. Otherwise, I love it and would have given it 5 stars. It's a very nice rug, we are very happy with it. It makes the world of difference in our family room. My wife thought the red leaves in the middle were a bit too much and while I could see her point, I've decided to like the large red leaves in the centre. She's still warming up to them.Delivery took a bit longer than expected but it came in a few weeks without a problem. The only real issue so far is that itshedslike crazy. It's better now with a lot of vacuuming but it's still considerable. I'm looking forward to it finally stopping at some point.I bought Safavieh wool rugs before, and I like this brand. They are thick and heavy, and the patterns are generally better in real life than on the screen. I bought this rug for the living room (9'6"" by 13'6""). I was aware of the fact that it was very subdued and would not stand on its own, and I chose it to fit into the room design with the furniture and walls. When it arrived, I was pleased to find that the colours were not quite as ""dirty"" as in the pictures, and the pattern is actually quite pleasant and to look at (and distinct enough to see). It did everything I wanted it to, plus it looked nicer than I expected. My partner was not too keen on my choice initially, but upon the arrival, he was very impressed himself. I have got to say, when a guy keeps repeating how pleased he is with the rug looks and feel, I know he is not lying.Quality: in my experience, Safavieh wool rugs shed fiber in the beginning. Be prepared to vacuum and dust often in the first month. After a month, the shedding subsides. I did not mind this, but if you are allergic or sensitive to wool, you may want to go with some other material. My son is somewhat sensitive, but with one quick daily vacuuming, it is quite manageable. In long term, the quality of my other Safavieh rugs proved to be quite good. The only thing I can think of is that when I lift them up to vacuum underneath (which happens maybe 2-3 times a year), there is some white dust on the floor which seems to be coming from the rug. So far, this did not affect the integrity of the rugs in the least.I would buy other Safavieh rugs in the future. I think they are extremely well priced with no impact to the quality. I am sure there are better rugs - but the price tag reflects their quality too.Bonus: this very large rug was packed (not rolled up) compactly enough to fit into my small car. I was very pleased with this thoughtfulness."
