The color is not a true teal; closer to a soft green -- teal has more blue tone to it. Fairly plush although a pad is a must under it. We've have it for several months and it continues to shed. However, we do not vacuum it daily as it is in a computer room of my husband's and he is too lazy lol. It is thick and the colors brighten up the corner of the room we placed it in. I am especially impressed with the label that reports that NO CHILD LABOR was used to produce this rug.
