Almost a washed out color palette. The rug also smelled heavily of glue for a few days until it aired out.I debated on this rug for weeks, then I pulled the trigger and ordered it. I am delighted with the rug and could not have picked a better accent with regard to color and design. I placed the rug on a stair landing and it coordinates nicely with the decor. I love the feel and really enjoy the raised design patterns which are velvety to the touch. I am very satifsfied with this purchase.Love it!! The colors are just the right amounts. It has brightened my dark hallway. [...]I love the bohemian flavor of this rug and yet it is not over-the-top with its sophisticated palette. Actually, I was hoping that this rug would be brighter than it is (this is the only reason why I give 4 stars instead of 5) but I like it nonetheless. The colors overall are more muted and less contrasting in life. For example, what appeared to me online like a flesh tone mixed with blue in the alternating stripe is more like muted mauve and does not stand out as much as it did on my monitor. Also the stripes are not so pronounced. The background appears tonally the same, but still has all that lovely textural variety and subtle shading. The medallions that appear brighter are more like lighter gold than yellow.I bought this rug for my living room to give it a lighter, airier, and fun look, and this very stylish and plush rug does do that. I'm quite happy with it! It can work well in other rooms, too, even a kid's room. A great thing, too, is the price was so utterly reasonable[...]--best bargain I came across for this 9'6 x 13'6 size of this premium quality! The service on the phone was friendly and helpful. [...]"
