The image at the website gave me the impression that this rug had a tweed look to it. That impression was wrong. The fibers are one uniform color throughout. The variation shown in the image must be due to lighting when the photo was taken. Anyway, the rug is very thick with a very soft pile. I especially liked that the rug was available in a 6 x 9' format, a size not often available from rug manufacturers. The neutral color allows be to be more bold with pillows and other room accessories that were previously dominated by the bold design of the former rug. The rug arrived by FedEx within a week of my order and was tightly wrapped in two layers of plastic. Since this rug is made of synthetic materials, it will not be as expensive to have cleaned as my former 100% wool rug."
