You can also detach it from the strap and slide it onto the brim of a hat. Had it on in a torrential downpour and it is definitely waterproof. Has two brightness levels which seem adequate for short distances.The quality of the headlamp is great! They were waterproof for us and were exactly like everything that was described online. They work wonderfully.The headlamp works very well. I use it when fishing from my kayak at night and camping.
